AWT Prices Going Up
« on: January 18, 2014, 01:57:22 AM »
AWT prices have gone up very high in the past few months. Prices were almost same during the most part of the year 2013, but last couple of months were very good for the AWT market.

Normal Prices in AWT for  10 Marla Plots in All blocks Except B & D were 13 to 14 lac, and in B and D, prices were around 18 lac. Prices of 1 kanal plots were around 25 lac in other blocks, while B & D prices were around 30 to 35 lac.

Commercial Plots were around 50 lac for 8 marla, and around 28  to 30 lac for 4 marla commercial plots. But Commercial prices have doubled or more than doubled now.

Residential prices have gone up by 35% on average in almost all blocks. Boulevard plots in B & D may come with demand up to 50 lac rupees. This price hike may not be sustainable if there are no genuine buyers to support this rise. AWT may be a good society at good location, but problem with its land is not unknown to all. It has too much depression in many blocks and especially G block is quite rocky in addition to this depression problem.

Interchange is considered as the cause of this rise, and it may be operational by next month. Prices seem to have stopped in AWT now as investors had picked up so many plots that they got into problem when genuine buyers decreased, either due to this hike, or due to the cold weather.

Prices may take another jump after the launch of interchange, so keep an any on the trend of the AWT market and share updates in this forum :)
